Two services with different jobs
A registered agent is appointed for the legal-notice role defined by the state and the provider agreement. A business address service supplies an address for the permitted uses in its terms. They may be supplied together, but that does not make the services interchangeable. Before selecting either, list the forms, institutions and mail types you intend to use it for and ask whether the proposed address is accepted for each purpose.
Our address and agent requirement
Infinity Filer offers a unique address at $49 for each state. It is available with a registered agent in that same state, not as a standalone address purchase. The package builder adds the agent relationship when you choose an address, then asks for the state so the correct agent charge can be shown. An existing Wyoming agent cannot automatically satisfy a request for a different state’s address service.
A mailing address is not every kind of address
A bank, tax form or trademark application may ask for a physical business location, personal residence, mailing address or domicile. Read the exact question. An address supplied for correspondence should not be represented as a location where a business actually operates if that is untrue. A convenient address also does not remove the need to disclose the real people who own or control a business when a provider lawfully requests them.
Check delivery and renewal details
Ask how incoming mail is received, what notifications are provided, whether scanning or forwarding is included, and which mail types are excluded. Record the service start date, renewal period and cancellation process. If a letter contains an activation code or filing deadline, establish who monitors it. The value of an address depends on timely handling and permitted use, not simply on the text printed in an address field.
Prepare for a later address change
If you change providers or locations, list the government agencies, banks, payment providers and counterparties that may need updates. Keep the old service active for an appropriate transition where agreed. Updating an internal document or website footer alone does not update every external record. Ask support to separate the new address arrangement from any paid filing or amendment assistance so the scope and cost stay clear.
